So, between Photoshop CS3, Corel Painter X, Painter Tool Sai, Open Canvas 4.5(I think thats the latest), or Open Canvas 1.1-b72 which do YOU prefer?
I only have Photoshop Elements 6(useless) and CS3
it works good for me, but i hear the 'rotate canvas' tool in painter is really nice for drawing

i had this same problem when i was shopping for mine. i started with corel painter X. and i'm glad for that. pscs3 is very complex. corel got me used to using the blenders and has the awesome super realistic brushes, so it made it easier for me to transition from canvas to tablet. but i'm very happy i moved on to pscs3. if i were you i'd splurge and get a newer ps version....there are plenty of tuts out there if you need any help♥

thanks for the reply! PScs3 is complex, blending is almost impossible lol
but i dont think i need a newer version, unless pscs4 is super amazing compared to cs3... thats another $200 to upgrade D:

no its not...you just adjust your scatter and strength and it blends beautifully!...the only hard part to get used to is switching from corels more oily blenders.
